Issues of developing joint projects with the World Bank were discussed

    Deputy Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Iskander Kutbiddinov met with Sanjay Srivastava, Manager of Global Environmental Practice in the Europe and Central Asia Region of the World Bank.

    During the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest in developing bilateral cooperation in the environmental field, after which the guests were informed about the work carried out by the Government of the country in the field of environmental protection, institutional reform of environmental protection agencies, improvement of monitoring and improvement of atmospheric air quality.

    At the same time, issues of analyzing air quality management systems in Uzbekistan, conducting modern air pollution modeling to determine the sources of concentration of fine PM2.5 particles in Tashkent, and assessing the impact of environmental pollution on human health were discussed.

    During the negotiations, it was proposed to hold consultations with interested parties to develop a roadmap for improving the quality of life in Uzbekistan.

    Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development of joint projects aimed at protecting the environment.
