The procedure for obtaining a biometric passport for traveling abroad through a single portal of interactive services has been defined

    In accordance with the Government decree of January 5, 2022, the administrative regulations on the provision of public services for submitting an application through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services for obtaining a biometric passport for traveling abroad were approved.

    According to the E-Government Project Management Center, in accordance with the administrative regulations, citizens can apply for a biometric passport to travel abroad in one of several cases:

    • directly contact the Migration and Citizenship Registration Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
    • by visiting public service centers;
    • through a Single portal of interactive public services.

    When submitting an application, a questionnaire is filled out. If there are errors in the survey or insufficient availability of documents, the applicant is given five days to eliminate them, otherwise the questionnaire is canceled.

    Notification of the satisfaction of the application for photographing and taking electronic fingerprints is sent within one working day.

    A biometric passport for traveling abroad is issued within ten days.
