The President of Uzbekistan held talks with the Chairman of the China National Nuclear Corporation

The following item on the business program of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Beijing was a meeting with Shen Yanfeng, Chairman of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).

The China National Nuclear Corporation is the largest state enterprise in the field of civilian nuclear programs. The company carries out the full cycle of projects, from uranium exploration and enrichment to the construction of nuclear power plants in China and abroad.

The President of Uzbekistan congratulated the Chairman and the entire CNNC team on the 70th anniversary of China’s nuclear industry.

Issues related to the implementation of promising projects in Uzbekistan were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the participation of the Chinese company in the transfer of modern technologies and the development of uranium deposits, the conduct of geological exploration in promising areas, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.
