Uzbekistan and Belize have established diplomatic relations

    Yesterday, a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Belize was signed in New York City.

    On March 6, on behalf of the governments of the two countries, the document was signed by the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations, Ulugbek Lapasov, and the Permanent Representative of Belize to the United Nations, Carlos Fuller, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    The parties expressed their strong interest in strengthening cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

    An agreement was reached to intensify cooperation in the search for mutually beneficial areas of bilateral cooperation.

    Thus, Belize, located in Central America, became the 147th state with which Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations.

    Earlier, on March 5, 2024, a joint communique was signed in New York on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein - the 146th country with which Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations.
