The event was organized by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan jointly with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) with the participation of representatives of international organizations and parliaments of eight states.

During the dialogue, members of the delegation of Uzbekistan presented the national experience of improving legislation and institutional mechanisms to ensure women's rights, paying special attention to the prevention and counteraction of gender-based violence.

Special emphasis is placed on the need to develop effective responses to modern challenges, including the spread of new forms of violence such as cyberbullying, online threats and psychological pressure. The importance of further adapting legislation, expanding the use of digital protection tools, and strengthening the role of parliaments in this area was noted.

In addition, the delegation of Uzbekistan informed about the comprehensive reforms being implemented in the country aimed at strengthening the system of protection of women and children, developing social support mechanisms and improving the effectiveness of interdepartmental cooperation in order to prevent violence.
