The Qatar National Museum was opened in 2019. It reflects the history of the state, customs and traditions of the people of Qatar, information about monuments in the country. Museum visitors get acquainted with the nature of the Persian Gulf and the rare animals that live there.

A special place among the sights of Qatar is occupied by the Museum of Islamic Art. It was opened in 2008. The five-storey building is located on an artificial island off the coast of Doha. It reflects the diversity of traditional culture and the versatility of Islamic art.

The museum houses objects of Islamic art created in Asia, Europe and the Middle East from the VII to the XIX century. There is a library and a reading room with 200 seats, a restoration laboratory and presentation rooms. A copy of a page from the Koran, brought from Samarkand, is also kept here. This testifies to the strong friendship and spiritual community of our peoples.
