The Crown Prince, on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, accepted the credentials of the ambassadors of 37 foreign countries appointed in 2023-2024, the Dunyo news agency reports.
During the brief conversation, the Crown Prince, on behalf of the head of state and on his own behalf, asked to convey sincere wishes and warm greetings to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia were established on February 20, 1992.
Nodirjon Turgunov arrived in Riyadh in March 2024 as Uzbekistan's ambassador to Saudi Arabia. In November 2024, he was accredited as the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
In April 2025, he also presented copies of his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain as the first Ambassador of our country, and on June 2, he presented his credentials to King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein as Ambassador to Jordan.
