During the dialogue, practical aspects of cooperation between the Senate of the OliyMajlis and the Interparliamentary Union were discussed.
The Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union stressed the importance of Uzbekistan's initiatives in the international arena not only for the region, but also for the world community.
It was noted that Uzbekistan is becoming a platform that strengthens the cohesion of parliaments in solving topical issues, last year the 14th summit of women leaders of parliaments of the IPU member states in Tashkent was effective in all respects.
The Secretary General of the IPU stated that parliaments are participants in the process of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. The II Global Forum on Interparliamentary Cooperation in the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, which took place on November 30 this year in Tashkent, has become an important platform for establishing cooperation and sharing experiences for all States in this direction.
At the end of the dialogue, the parties agreed to continue joint projects.
