Within the framework of the First International Forum of Central Asian Ombudsmen, Senate Speaker Tanzila Narbayeva met with the children's Ombudsmen of Central Asian countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as with the children's Ombudsmen of Norway, Croatia and Finland, who heads the European Network of Children's Ombudsmen (ENOC).

During the meeting, the legal foundations for the protection of children's rights and the effective implementation of parliamentary control in this area were highlighted.

The participants highly appreciated the solid legislative framework created in Uzbekistan to ensure children's rights. In particular, special attention was paid to the adoption of the laws "On guarantees of the rights of the child", "On Education" and the law "On Protection of Children from all forms of Violence", which is unique in the region.

Our country's experience in protecting children's rights, including the annual presentation by the Commissioner for Children's Rights to Parliament of a report on the situation of children and the state of legislation, is recognized as a model for other countries.

The sides also exchanged views on cooperation with international organizations in the field of children's rights protection and the active participation of Parliament, state and non-state organizations in the implementation of their recommended measures.
