The President of the Senate met with the Deputy Director General of the International Labor Organization in Geneva

    As part of the 113th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, a meeting was held with the Deputy Director General of the International Labour Organization, Beate Andres.

    During the conversation, the work carried out within the framework of the Country Program on Decent Work in Uzbekistan for 2021-2025 was discussed.

    The efforts to promote the principles of decent work in Uzbekistan, the ratification of key conventions of the International Labour Organization and the widespread implementation of international standards in national practice were highly appreciated.

    The issues of developing a new Country program for decent work in Uzbekistan for the period up to 2030 were also considered.

    An agreement was reached to pay special attention to the implementation of the priorities identified in the Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty reduction, strengthening the social protection system, and professional development of tripartite national partners and state labor inspectors.
