At the meeting, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Tashkent Sanjar Tajiyev and Chairman of the media congress "Commonwealth of Journalists" Ashot Jazoyan discussed the participation of young documentary filmmakers, photographers and filmmakers of Uzbekistan in the XVII International Media Forum "Dialogue of Cultures", which will be held at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg from May 19 to 21, 2023.
The International Forum "Dialogue of Cultures" is the largest project of the media congress "Commonwealth of Journalists", held in the State Hermitage Museum since 2004. Over the years, more than 3,000 journalists from 45 countries have taken part in it. The XVI forum "Dialogue of Cultures", held in October 2022, brought together participants from 11 countries, including young correspondents, photographers and bloggers, cameramen from Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of this forum, the Main Headquarters of the State Hermitage Museum traditionally hosts a photo exhibition "I live here", where photojournalists from different countries and regions talk about the original places in which they live and the heroes of their pictures.
Chairman of the media congress "Commonwealth of Journalists" Ashot Jazoyan noted the positive changes in Tashkent and stressed: "Uzbek flavor should be present at our exhibition in the Hermitage!".
The parties also discussed prospects for further cooperation and joint media projects in Tashkent with the participation of leading documentarians, photographers and bloggers from around the world, the press service of the khokimiyat reports.
