The Russian government has expanded the project to attract personnel from Uzbekistan to the agricultural sector

    The Government of the Russian Federation has expanded a pilot project to attract labor personnel from Uzbekistan, now it applies not only to the construction industry, but also to the agro-industrial complex (AIC). This follows from the Cabinet resolution published on Wednesday.

    The previous version of the document decided to "implement a pilot project to attract citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan to carry out temporary work for Russian legal entities engaged in economic activities in the construction sector." According to the new decree, the initiative will be extended to companies "in the field of agro-industrial complex", reports TASS.

    The maximum number of Uzbek citizens involved in the pilot project has also been increased. Previously, it was 10 thousand people. Now this quota has been retained for the construction industry, and another 1108 people can be attracted to work in the agricultural sector.

    The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has been instructed to compile a list of companies working in the agro-industrial complex and wishing to attract personnel from Uzbekistan, as well as conclude agreements with them.

    A number of requirements continue to apply to the employees themselves. So, at the border with the Russian Federation, they must present a negative PCR test for coronavirus. At the same time, it is now necessary to take such an analysis no earlier than 48 hours before arrival on the territory of Russia. Before that, the deadline was 72 hours.

    Also, citizens of Uzbekistan must submit a document on vaccination with Sputnik Lite or other vaccines against coronavirus infection no earlier than 14 days before arrival in Russia or confirm the fact of covid not earlier than five months before arrival.
