Saida Mirziyoyeva spoke about the current WTO accession process

The assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirzoeva, shared the current situation regarding the country's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). She posted the corresponding post on her Telegram channel.

Last year, two key meetings of the WTO Working Group were held, which allowed us to begin drafting the main document of membership, the draft Report of the working group. Bilateral negotiations with 15 countries, including the United States, China and Japan, have also ended, resulting in 23 signed agreements.

To join the WTO, Uzbekistan adopted 20 new laws aimed at increasing business transparency and developing a competitive environment.

"The ultimate goal of WTO participation and the efforts of the head of state's reforms is the well-being of our people, providing them with decent jobs, and moving to more effective economic management," Mirziyoyeva wrote.
