The cause of the phenomenon will be an X-class flare on the Sun - this is the most powerful of the classes of solar flares, astronomers consider it the most dangerous for the inhabitants of the Earth. As a result of the resulting magnetic storm, short-wave radio communication may be disrupted throughout the planet. In addition, interference with navigation in the circumpolar latitudes is not excluded.
A number of experts also warn that the phenomenon can affect the health of weather-dependent people. They may feel unwell, including dizziness, joint pain and pressure surges. Mood swings, bouts of unexplained anxiety, agitation or, conversely, apathy are also likely.
Before that, a moderate magnetic storm was observed at the end of January, then the event lasted no longer than a day. Meanwhile, scientists have warned that this year there will be more magnetic storms - two or three each month.
