The strongest chess players of Uzbekistan went to the World Chess Olympiad

    On July 27, ten of the strongest chess players of Uzbekistan left Tashkent airport for Chennai (India) to participate in the 44th World Chess Olympiad.

    "I wish our athletes success, good luck and strength at the Olympics. This is an important stage for us. Our team is ranked 14th in the world ranking for the first time. Therefore, the guys face important tasks - to show a strong game and win the title to host the World Olympiad in Uzbekistan in 2026. The national team is motivated, inspired and well prepared. There are big victories ahead. In addition, chess sports are supported by the government headed by the President of the country," concluded the head of the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan Alisher Sadullayev.

    The coach and representatives of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan also gave warm wishes and instructions to the athletes.
