According to Resolution No. 244 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 19, 2025, the norms for duty-free import of goods by individuals for personal needs have been established.:
for air transportation - up to 1,000 US dollars,
for rail and river transportation - up to 500 US dollars,
for automobile and pedestrian crossings - up to 300 US dollars.
If the cost of a mobile device exceeds the established norms, a single customs fee of 30% is charged from the difference.
In addition, in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 55 of January 31, 2025, when processing a customs entry order, a customs clearance fee of 25% of the VAT is charged (today it amounts to 103,000 soums).
The customs value of a mobile device is determined based on the submitted receipts, receipts or other commercial documents. If there are no supporting documents, the customs authorities determine the cost independently, using the available database of customs declarations, as well as official sources of manufacturers or suppliers (price lists, bulletins, catalogs).
Example: when importing an iPhone 17 smartphone to Uzbekistan, if a citizen has a receipt or receipt, the value indicated in them is taken. In the absence of documents, the customs value is determined based on prices published on Apple's official website in the country from which the citizen arrived.
Thus, the cost of the devices directly depends on the prices in the country of import.
The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan plans to regularly publish up-to-date information on the customs value of the iPhone 17 and other popular models of mobile devices in the main countries of import. When updating the data, citizens will be informed additionally.
