The cancellation of the "cotton boycott" in March 2022 in Uzbekistan caused a great resonance among the world textile community. Foreign experts and mass media in many publications gave their forecasts on the options for the development of the Uzbek textile industry after the so-called "boycott".

But, more than a year has passed and during this time the international community has repeatedly expressed recognition that Uzbekistan and the textile industry of the country is a unique case of successful development in all aspects in such a short period of time.

Currently, the largest European news channel Euronews is preparing a report on the successful experience of Uzbekistan after the cancellation of the "cotton boycott". In view of this, the Uztextilprom Association held an interview with the chairman of the association, as well as a member of the ITMF Board and Ernesto Maurer, who is on a visit to Uzbekistan.

    E. Maurer is also the President of CEMATEX, the organizer of the world's largest international textile machinery exhibition ITMA and Swissmem, the Swiss Textile Machinery Association.
