The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and ICCD discussed the development of the Halal industry and cooperation in the field of Islamic finance

    As part of the Makkah Halal Forum 2025, held in Makkah, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan D. Kurbanov held a bilateral meeting with Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) Yusuf Khalawi.

    Issues of further expansion of Uzbekistan's cooperation with ICCD, development of trade and economic ties with Islamic countries, as well as effective use of the Chamber's capabilities were discussed at the meeting.

    The ICCD Secretary General spoke in detail about the current activities of the Chamber, long-term plans and ongoing projects aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation between the Islamic states.

    During the talks, issues of increasing mutual trade, developing the halal industry and strengthening cooperation in the field of Islamic finance were discussed.

    Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan provided information on the country's investment climate, export potential, and ongoing business reforms.

    Following the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement to sign a memorandum of cooperation between ICCD and Uzbekistan, organize joint business forums and trade missions, exchange experience and launch professional development programs.
