The Central Bank of Uzbekistan entered the top five buyers of gold in the world

    According to the results of the third quarter, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan entered the top five world central banks in terms of gold purchases, according to statistics from the World Gold Council.

    The regulator ranked fifth in the world. The reserves of precious metal in Uzbekistan, thus, increased by seven tons.

    The leader was the Central Bank of China, which bought 78 tons of gold. In second place is the Polish Central Bank (57 tons), in third - Turkish (39 tons), in fourth - Indian (nine tons).

    From July to September, the world's central banks purchased 337 tons of gold. This is 27% less than a year earlier.

    According to the London Precious Metals Market Association, the average cost of gold per ounce was estimated at $ 1.9 thousand. The annual growth was 12%.
