    The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has become the second largest buyer of gold. Last December, the republic acquired 9 tons of precious metals. This is reported by the World Gold Council.

    Global gold reserves of central banks increased by 28 tons in December. Turkey remains the largest buyer, which has increased its reserves by 28 tons in a month. After Uzbekistan, China also entered the top three - also 9 tons.

    Kazakhstan became the main seller of gold in the last month of last year. The country sold five times more precious metals compared to a month earlier - 10 tons in December (2 tons in November). In addition, neighboring Kyrgyzstan sold 2 tons in December.
