Uzbekistan's tourism potential is represented in Malaysia

    On the eve of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev to Malaysia, on February 3, the Uzbek-Malaysian Tourism Forum "Uzbekistan - the Pearl of the Great Silk Road" was held in the Malaysian state of Penang.

    The event was attended by the leadership of the Tourism Committee, the heads of the tourism sector of the governments of Malaysia and Penang State, as well as leading experts and business representatives in the tourism sector of Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

    Presentations on the tourism potential, historical monuments, cultural and natural heritage of Uzbekistan were presented at the forum. During the presentations, special attention was paid to the rich cultural and historical significance of tourist destinations in Uzbekistan, including cities such as Shakhrisabz, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and others.

    Within the framework of the "B2B" meetings with the participation of more than 100 representatives of the tourism business of the two countries, business ties were established between the travel companies of Uzbekistan and Malaysia, opportunities for cooperation were discussed and mutual agreements were reached to increase the flow of tourists.

    Representatives of Malaysian tourism companies also got acquainted with new tourist sites, updated infrastructure and cultural heritage sites built in Uzbekistan in recent years through the New Uzbekistan photo exhibition organized within the framework of the forum.

    The guests of the event were presented with a cultural program with national songs, music and dances reflecting the rich and diverse culture and traditions of our country, as well as Uzbek national dishes.

    The forum became an important step towards the development of tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Malaysia and the opening of new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
