The establishment of political consultations between the foreign ministries will lay a solid foundation for promising cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the countries. Our agenda also covered strengthening ties between business communities, cooperation within international organizations, and realizing untapped potential."

Uganda has become the 145th country with which Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations. The corresponding joint communique was signed on January 18, 2024 in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, during the participation of the delegation of Uzbekistan in the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement.
