The delegation was received by Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbai Sharipov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of improving the quality of higher education, training personnel who meet the requirements of the modern labor market on the basis of high-tech production.
Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation K. Sharipov noted that as a result of the reforms of recent years, 100 new higher educational institutions have been created in our country, in particular, many foreign universities operate. He particularly noted the activities of the Belarusian-Uzbek Interdisciplinary Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications in Tashkent.
- Taking into account the priorities of the socio-economic development of our country, we need to improve the quality of personnel training for newly created industries, which cover such industries as energy, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, mining, alternative energy sources, nuclear energy, oil and gas production, railway construction, textile production, etc.
A. Ivanets made such proposals as the creation of a scientific and technical consortium between scientists of the two countries, the development of distance education, the organization of internships for teachers of colleges and vocational schools of our country in the state of Belarus, cooperation between technoparks and the organization of student groups.
The parties also discussed issues of further development of Uzbek-Belarusian joint scientific project programs, organization of student internships at large high-tech enterprises, further expansion of Uzbekistan's participation in international competitions of professional educational skills organized among students of professional educational institutions, training of specialists in interdisciplinary fields.
In addition, the need to develop the activities of professional and higher educational institutions in the regions was noted. The sides exchanged views on the need to implement projects aimed at bringing high-tech products created by higher educational institutions of the two countries to the domestic and foreign markets.
