This event was held at the invitation of the Minister of the Interior of Italy, Mr. Matteo Piantedosi, to implement the Roadmap signed following the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Italian Republic (June 8-9, 2023).

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the Agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Italy on cooperation in the field of internal affairs, signed in June 2023 in Rome, the development of cooperation in the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking and other types of transnational crimes and public security, the creation of a mechanism for interdepartmental coordination in the field of law and order and the introduction of digital technologies, the exchange of experience, as well as the expansion of multifaceted cooperation.

At the meeting, which took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, promising tasks for the development of mutual cooperation were identified.

Also during the visit to Italy, the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the activities of the Italian State Police and the National Police Academy.
