The parties attach great importance to the implementation of joint initiatives in the energy and water sectors, and advocate the rational and equitable use of transboundary resources based on the principles of mutual respect and good neighborliness.

An important component of the Uzbek-Turkmen partnership is cultural and humanitarian cooperation to strengthen the traditional friendship and spiritual closeness of the two peoples. Cultural days, exhibitions, theater tours, concerts of art masters and art festivals are regularly held. Programs in the field of education and science are being actively implemented, and the number of student and academic exchanges is growing.

A landmark event was the widespread celebration in Uzbekistan of the anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi, whose work unites the peoples of the region and serves as a symbol of spiritual kinship, humanism and mutual respect. The events held in various cities of the country highlighted the inextricable link between the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Special attention is paid to tourism cooperation. Both countries have rich historical and cultural potential, unique architectural monuments and natural sites. The development of joint tourist routes, especially along the historical centers of the Great Silk Road, opens up new opportunities for strengthening humanitarian contacts and interregional cooperation.
