As the head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, noted, this event is of particular importance for the country. According to her, over the past 25 years, this national nomination has become the first from Uzbekistan to receive such a high international status.

"This is a recognition of the value not only of individual buildings, but of an entire epoch, when a new look of Tashkent was created after the earthquake, which managed to combine modern architecture, traditions of Central Asia and the peculiarities of our climate.

This is a great victory for Uzbekistan and an important step towards preserving our architectural heritage for future generations," Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized.
