The parties discussed priority areas of cooperation between the European Union and Uzbekistan in the field of transport and logistics.

Issues related to the implementation of infrastructure projects within the framework of the Global Gateway program, in particular, the construction of a new railway and highway Uchkuduk - Kyzylorda. Special attention was paid to the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor in order to increase the volume of mutual trade.

I. Makhkamov separately focused on the issue of the European Union's assistance in Uzbekistan's accession to the multilateral permit system of the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT).

He also suggested considering the possibility of creating joint industrial and logistics parks in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
