During the
talks, the sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of
tourism, investment and business exchanges. It was noted that the growing
interest of citizens of the two countries in the tourism opportunities of
Uzbekistan and Iraq creates additional opportunities for the development of
bilateral cooperation.
Special
attention was paid to increasing the mutual tourist flow, implementing joint
activities to promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and Iraq in the
markets of the two countries, as well as expanding cooperation between travel
companies and industry organizations.
The parties
also discussed the prospects for establishing direct flights between Uzbekistan
and Iraq, including the possibility of launching flights on the
Baghdad-Tashkent route, which will contribute to the further development of
tourist and business ties.
Following
the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify cooperation between
representatives of the tourism industry of the two countries, expand the
practice of conducting business missions and B2B meetings, as well as jointly
promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and Iraq in the markets of the
two countries.
