Uzbekistan and Russia intend to create a metallurgical cluster in Karakalpakstan

    Uzbekistan and Russia are discussing the creation of a metallurgical cluster at the Tebinbulak field in the Karauzyak district of Karakalpakstan. Denis Manturov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, discussed this issue with representatives of Uzbekistan, including Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodzhayev.

    The meeting also discussed significant projects for the construction of new plants and infrastructure improvements, including the launch of a gas chemical complex in the Bukhara region and the creation of a copper processing plant based on the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine.

    In addition, the national railway companies Uzbekistan Temir Yullari and Russian Railways signed a cooperation agreement and developed a development plan.
