The parties discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of environmental protection, paying special attention to the exchange of experience and the introduction of modern environmental safety practices.
Alisher Salomov stressed Uzbekistan's readiness to step up cooperation with Russian environmental protection agencies, including in terms of natural resource management and improving environmental control mechanisms.
Issues of protection of water bodies and rational use of water resources, areas that are strategically important for both countries, were discussed in a separate block. The Uzbek side expressed interest in studying the achievements and approaches of Russian specialists to strengthen national environmental protection measures.
The meeting was held in a constructive spirit and allowed us to consolidate mutual understanding in a number of promising areas. The parties confirmed their intention to develop a regular dialogue and continue mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of international ecology and the protection of natural resources.
