The meeting was attended by Deputy Presidential Adviser Muzaffar Komilov, Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Sodik Toshboev, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar, attache Shukhrat Amony, Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabia and Saudi Ambassador Yusuf al-Utaybiy.
At the beginning of the talks, it was noted that thanks to the efforts of the President of Uzbekistan and King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, bilateral relations are developing successfully, exchanges of delegations have intensified, and services are provided to pilgrims at the highest level, the press service of the Committee on Religious Affairs reports.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on new rules aimed at ensuring the safety of pilgrims in the upcoming Hajj season. In particular, the importance of strict compliance with medical requirements, timely paperwork, fulfillment of contractual terms and compliance with established norms during the Hajj was emphasized.
The hajj minister highly appreciated the reforms implemented at the initiative of the Head of our State, the successes in the research and construction fields, and also positively noted the organization of Hajj and Umrah and the discipline of Uzbek pilgrims. He also expressed a desire to visit Uzbekistan and take part in the opening ceremonies of the Center for Islamic Civilization and the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex in Samarkand.
In addition, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of pilgrimage tourism, organization of trips to the ancient cities of Uzbekistan, as well as cooperation in the field of science and research.
Following the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts and expressed their willingness to continue cooperation in a number of areas.
