Uzbekistan and Yakutia discussed promising areas of cooperation

    In Tashkent, Russia's Trade representative in Uzbekistan Konstantin Zlygostev met with a delegation from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), headed by Kim Borisov, Deputy Chairman of the regional government and Permanent Representative for the Far Eastern Federal District.

    During the meeting, promising areas of cooperation between Yakutia and the regions of Uzbekistan were discussed, and the importance of deepening cooperation in the industrial sector, including mining and light industry, IT industry and creative industries was emphasized.

    Special attention was paid to increasing the supply of fruit and vegetable products from Uzbekistan to the northern region of Russia.

    In addition, the prospects for localization of production of Yakut companies in the Russian-Uzbek industrial technoparks Chirchik and Jizzakh, as well as the possibility of opening a Trading House of Yakutia in Uzbekistan, were considered.

    Konstantin Zlygostev expressed support for the plans to organize a visit by a delegation led by the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, timed to coincide with the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia", which will be held in Tashkent on April 28-30, 2025.
