    Uzbekistan was awarded for its contribution to ensuring environmental connectivity

    As part of CMS OP 14, a Champion Night event was held in Samarkand honoring the new CMS champions who were awarded for their outstanding efforts and commitment to the global fight for the conservation of migratory species.

    During the evening, Uzbekistan was awarded the honorary prize "For its contribution to ensuring environmental connectivity for the period 2024-2026."

    The certificate of nomination of Uzbekistan was presented to Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov by CMS Executive Secretary Amy Frenkel.

    For information: The event was held within the framework of the Migratory Species Champion program, which aims to promote initiatives developed by CMS and encourage their sustainable support.
