"I am convinced that the full membership of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the council will give it more weight, and the significant experience of the anti-corruption work of the department headed by you will be in demand in the practical activities of all participants of the association," Krasnov said on Thursday at a meeting with the director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan Akmal Burkhanov.
The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation stressed that the members of the council are interested in Uzbekistan's experience in combating corruption crimes, TASS reports.
For the first time, a delegation from Uzbekistan took part in a meeting of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption as an observer. The MSPK currently includes representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
Krasnov also said that the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has established a practice of concluding interdepartmental agreements and cooperation programs not only with the prosecutor's office and justice, but also with specialized anti-corruption agencies. Such agreements make it possible to share experiences, coordinate their actions on multilateral platforms, carry out practical cooperation on specific cases and materials, as well as interact in the scientific and educational sphere. Krasnov suggested that Burkhanov consider concluding a cooperation agreement.
In turn, the director of the Anti-corruption Agency of Uzbekistan stated that the republic intends to make anti-corruption training mandatory for all civil servants. However, he noted, there are still not enough specialists to conduct such courses.
"We would be very grateful if we developed a separate (training) program for representatives of the anti-corruption agencies of Uzbekistan," Burkhanov said.
