The length of public roads in the Republic of Uzbekistan as of January 1, 2023 amounted to 42.9 thousand km. In this ranking, Russia took the first place, whose length of highways was 1,575.6 thousand km.
According to the Statistics Agency, the length of public roads in the CIS countries as of January 1, 2023:
Russia - 1,575.6 thousand. km;
Belarus - 104.1 thousand. km;
Kazakhstan - 94.8 thousand km;
Uzbekistan - 42.9 thousand km;
Azerbaijan - 28.3 thousand km;
Moldova - 9,5 thousand. km;
Armenia - 7.5 thousand km.
According to the data provided by the Statistics Agency, the permanent population as of October 1, 2024 amounted to more than 37.3 million people, including 18.8 million men and 18.5 million women.
According to the UNESCO Institute of Statistics, as of January 1, 2023, the number of students from Uzbekistan studying abroad amounted to 150.5 thousand people.
