The seminar was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic together with the organizations "TRAFFIC" and "Fauna and Flora International". It is also attended by employees of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.
For information: The Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Kazakhstan Association for the Conservation of Biodiversity and other organizations, are implementing two projects aimed at solving problems related to the illegal trade in wild animals in Central Asia.
It is worth noting that the event is held in order to present the results of these projects and raise public awareness about the relevance of combating illegal trade in wild animals and plants in the region.
Also, the purpose of the seminar is to unite the interests of the four participating states of the project - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The seminar will last until July 6 of this year.
