On November 18, a business meeting between representatives of the private sector of Afghanistan and foreign countries was held in Kabul as part of the Imam Abu Hanifa - 4th National and International Exhibition and Trade Fair.
The event was attended by 130 Afghan entrepreneurs, 80 representatives from Uzbekistan, 30 from Iran, more than 20 from India and 10 from Turkmenistan.
The meetings were organized in the following areas: food industry, building materials, pharmaceuticals, textiles, logistics, energy and household appliances.
The opening ceremony of the business partner search conference was attended by the Minister of Trade and Industry of Afghanistan, Nuriddin Azizi, as well as the heads of chambers of several countries.
In the B2B format, the expansion of trade cooperation, the development of joint projects, the promotion of investment initiatives and the increase of export opportunities in the Afghan market were discussed.
Following the meetings, Uzbek entrepreneurs reached preliminary agreements in the amount of 36.05 million US dollars.
In addition, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Trade and Investment of Afghanistan signed a memorandum of cooperation on the establishment of "Trading houses" in the two countries and the opening of representative offices of the Chambers.
Meetings and negotiations continue within the framework of the exhibition.
