A meeting with regional experts of the International Finance Corporation was held in MIVT

On October 3 of this year, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade on the issues of further improving the system of coordination and management of special economic zones in Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Olimkhon Rustamov, Regional Coordinator of the advisory program of the International Finance Corporation on the creation of new markets in Central Asia Tarik Shakhovich, regional expert of the International Finance Corporation on free economic zones Craig Giese.

During the meeting, proposals were discussed to create a working group consisting of experts from the International Finance Corporation, representatives of ministries and departments in order to draft a new version of the Law on Special Economic Zones based on international experience.

Following the discussion, it was decided to include representatives of the Department for the Development of Special Economic Zones and the Legal Department of the Ministry in the working group.
