The international organization Open Data Watch has published a new Gender Data Compass rating. By the end of 2023, Uzbekistan ranked 56th among 185 countries.

"Gender Data Compass" offers a broad overview on gender data, including data collection, production and use. By providing a comprehensive overview of gender data systems, it serves as a practical guide for national statistical offices and their partners, offering direction and support in achieving gender equality.

The ranking provides information on national gender data systems and their enabling environment. It documented the availability and accessibility of 53 key gender indicators in more than 180 countries. This clarifies important issues that countries need to address in order to improve their gender information systems: What information is available to understand and address gender equality issues? Is this information publicly available?

In order to publish gender statistics for users, the Statistics Agency has developed a website "Gender.stat.uz ". More than 180 data on gender statistics in 3 languages and in 5 different formats are posted and regularly updated on the site together with the responsible ministries and departments.

Information on monitoring 61 targets of the Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030 is posted on a separate page of the website.

Also on the main page of the indicators of the official website (stat.uz) additional indicators of gender statistics are posted, based on 27 types of statistical observations provided by more than 550 thousand enterprises and organizations, and the content is regularly expanded.
