This is organized in order to ensure the implementation of the requirements of articles 16, 17 and 28 of the Law "On Atmospheric Air Protection" and Article 11 of the Law "On Environmental Control", as well as in order to carry out state environmental control over the condition of motor vehicles.
As a result, it was found that 518 vehicles emit harmful substances into the atmosphere above the norm. In total, according to the relevant articles of the Administrative Code, fines in the amount of 50.1 million soums were imposed on 303 drivers. The movement of 222 vehicles has also been temporarily stopped.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, the first stage of the Clean Air month this year will last until May 10. A total of 200,000 vehicles will be subjected to environmental control during the event.
