As you know, at the beginning of the year, on the basis of relevant decisions and decrees of the Head of our State, the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan was established. Over the past period, the Association has carried out certain work to improve the system of self-government and study international experience. In particular, representatives of the Association visited countries such as China, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the Dunyo news agency reports.
One of the key tasks of the Samarkand International Conference is the active dissemination of Uzbekistan's experience in the formation and development of the mahalla institute, as well as in strengthening civil society in the international arena.
This international event brings together many prestigious organizations of the world and experts from more than 70 countries on a single platform.
The international conference is attended by representatives of the United Nations and other international organizations such as UNICEF, UNDP, UNODC, UNFPA, USAID, ambassadors of foreign countries, industry experts of Uzbekistan, scientists and Makhalla activists.
