More than 4 thousand people live here. Mahalla is being improved, entrepreneurship is developing. There is a textile enterprise, a pharmacy, a mini bank, shops and consumer services.
A home-based work center is being created in the mahalla. The President got acquainted with the conditions created here.
Vocational training for home-based workers is carried out here along with the production of clothing, leather products, and carpets. Based on a study conducted by the hokim’s assistant and a women’s activist, masters are assigned to unemployed citizens based on their interests and preferences. Those who have fully mastered the profession are provided with the necessary tools and raw materials so that they could fulfill orders at home. Contracts concluded between the customer and home-based workers are entered by the hokim’s assistant into the Single National Labor System.
The Head of state instructed to provide the artisans of the center with raw materials, and in densely populated mahallas to provide home-based workers with separate premises in colleges.
“Mahalla is the biggest base for learning the craft. Using the tradition of craftsmen and apprentices, many young people can be educated and employed based on home-based work. For them, especially women, it will be both moral and material support”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The center, in addition to the Yangi Batosh mahalla, also serves neighboring mahallas such as Batosh, Khoniyon, Taraqqiyot, Dasht, Jumabozor. When it reaches full capacity, it will help employ about 24,000 people.
