The Commissioner for Children's Rights, the head of the UNICEF representative office in Uzbekistan, the Minister of Preschool and School Education, the Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs, as well as 200 environmental activists took part in the discussion. More than 400 boys and girls joined the event in an online format.

The dialogue was devoted to the promotion of children's rights, as well as their participation in solving social, educational and environmental issues.

The Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, welcomed the participants and noted that reforms are being consistently carried out in the country to ensure the rights and interests of children. She spoke about achievements in the fields of healthcare, education, social protection and support for children with special needs.

Special attention is paid to the creation of a healthy and sustainable environment for children and youth, the formation of an ecological culture and responsibility. It was noted that 258 schools and 492 schoolchildren actively participate in the Eco-Schools of Uzbekistan project, implemented with the support of the Zamin International Public Foundation.

National platforms have been created to strengthen environmental knowledge and children's rights, and youth competencies in climate change and green technologies are expanding.

During the event, children were given the opportunity to present their own initiatives and projects aimed at protecting environmental rights, developing innovative solutions for climate change adaptation, and taking an active civic position.
