The sides discussed issues of further strengthening relations with the European Union, in particular, inter-parliamentary relations.
It was noted that in order to establish direct contacts between members of the parliaments of the countries, delegations regularly visit, parliamentarians study legislative activities and exchange experience.
During the meeting, D. McAllister noted that the European Union pays attention to cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, including the dynamic development of partnership and cooperation with Uzbekistan in areas of mutual interest.
In particular, he noted that "thanks to the measures taken by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop the country in the right direction, we are ready to support these reforms."
He expressed confidence that the inclusion of Uzbekistan in the list of the European Union GSP+ and these benefits will open up good opportunities for entrepreneurs and serve to further increase the export potential of Uzbekistan.
