In particular, the Mercedes-Benz Vito truck was under surveillance. When the vehicle stopped at one of the residential buildings in the Syrdarya region, its inspection was carried out.
"As a result, it was found that there were 39,301 boxes of tobacco products in the truck. At the same time, 68,837 boxes of tobacco products and 657 boxes of medicines called "Irovir-F" were found during the inspection of the residential building, the report says.
As explained in the press service, a total of 108,138 boxes of tobacco products and 657 boxes of medicines were seized, the total cost of which is 1 billion 876 million soums.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, the committee added.
