The events were organized with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan.
The forum brought together representatives of government agencies, the diplomatic corps, Korean companies and the business community. During the meeting, the significant role of Korean companies operating in Uzbekistan in the implementation of corporate social responsibility projects was noted.
The participants paid special attention to initiatives aimed at supporting women and people with disabilities, developing environmental projects, and unlocking the potential of young people. A number of companies, including KDB Bank and Uzkogaschemic, were awarded for their contribution to the development of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
During the meeting of the Korean Business Council, the strategic nature of the Uzbek-Korean partnership was emphasized. It was noted that the volume of bilateral trade reached 2 billion US dollars, the total volume of investments exceeded 8 billion dollars, and 691 enterprises with the participation of Korean capital are currently operating in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further expand cooperation in the fields of investment, industrial cooperation, technology, infrastructure and human capital development.
