On February 29, the international forum "Hotel Business Forum-2024", organized by the Association of Hotels of Uzbekistan with the support of the Tourism Committee, began its work in Tashkent.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee Sardor Niyazov noted that in recent years, major projects have been implemented in the tourism sector to create accommodation for tourists and investors thanks to the support of the government.

"To date, there are 1,403 accommodation facilities in our country with a total of 42,456 places with a certificate of conformity. Of these, 1089 are hotels, 85 are recreation areas and 229 are other types of accommodation. 54 hotels have a star category, including 4 five-star, 13 four-star, 35 three-star and 2 two-star hotels. Most of the hotels with categories were created as a result of the government providing subsidies to investors for the construction and equipping of new hotels," Sardor Niyazov said.
