The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Masood Momen.
It should be noted that political consultations are being held for the first time in the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The delegations discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
The sides exchanged views on cooperation within the UN and other multilateral structures,
The importance of expanding the contractual and legal framework of interaction was noted. In this regard, an agreement was reached on the establishment of working groups with the participation of representatives of the ministries and departments involved.
Particular attention is paid to the activation of economic diplomacy by facilitating the establishment and expansion of contacts between business entities, creating favorable conditions for mutual trade and the implementation of joint investment projects.
