During the meeting, the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of science, the implementation of joint projects, the expansion of academic mobility and support for young scientists were discussed.
It was noted that the memorandum planned to be signed between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and JSPS will create a solid institutional framework for long-term cooperation between the scientific communities of the two countries.
Within the framework of cooperation, Uzbek scientists are considering the possibility of conducting research at leading Japanese universities and research centers, organizing joint seminars, conferences, short- and medium-term internships, as well as expanding access for doctoral students, undergraduates and young scientists to international scientific practice.
Cooperation will open up opportunities for Japanese scientists to participate in research in Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, and in regional scientific projects.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue an open and constructive dialogue, emphasizing mutual interest in long-term and sustainable scientific cooperation.
