FNEBTP is a large professional organization representing the interests of Tunisian construction and road construction companies, part of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Crafts (UTICA). In 2015, UTICA received the Nobel Peace Prize for its contribution to national dialogue.
During the negotiations, information was provided on the investment potential of Uzbekistan, the favorable business climate created and the benefits provided to foreign investors. Priority areas of industrial modernization and infrastructure development were also discussed.
The Tunisian side expressed interest in cooperation in the fields of tourism, healthcare and cement production. The parties exchanged proposals on joint projects and expansion of investment partnership.
An agreement was also reached to hold a business forum in Tunis with the participation of Uzbekistan and the countries of North Africa - Algeria, Libya and Morocco.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish working contacts on specific projects and gradually expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
